This is a smaller version of a design featured in the April 5, 2013, edition of The Wall Street Journal.
Enter the Texas ranch-style home floor plan from the large front porch, and you will be welcomed by a great foyer that leads to the open kitchen. The kitchen features a massive peninsula with a built-in sink and breakfast bar. A large walk-in pantry and sizable breakfast nook are also features of this impressive kitchen. The kitchen is open to the family, so preparing meals becomes a great social situation. The breakfast nook has access outside to a wonderful lanai and large BBQ porch with an outdoor fireplace.
On the adjacent side of the breakfast nook is the luxurious split master suite, including a large sitting area and impressive master bath. The master bath features a split bathroom, great tub, his and her sinks, and his and her walk-in closets.
Off to the side of the foyer, you will find either the private media/study room or formal dining room, which shares a fireplace with the family room, creating a wonderful flow throughout the home plan. Next to the dining room are the two other bedrooms with spacious closets and a split bathroom. Down the hall from the media/study room, you will find a small powder room and the spacious two-bay garage.
The floor plan comes with many different customizable add-on options, such as changes to the basement stairs and an additional bonus room on the second story.
