A man's home is his castle - in this case, literally! Approach the castle from one of two gates to gain access to the courtyard. The Gothic courtyard is farmed by the impressive "main manor" of the castle on one side, a colonnade on the opposite side, and connected to the rest of the castle by two facing buildings which are designed for parking six cars.
Enter through the door of the manor home and into the foyer and the dramatic design of this castle with its 14-foot ceilings in the main rooms. The foyer faces the dining room — the heart of any historic castle design. The plan though does embrace modern living with an open floor plan for the main areas. The open-concept kitchen is steps from the dining room and the living area. On the "north" end of the main floor is the stairwell foyer connecting the main floor to the second floor and the walk-out basement.
Just beyond the stairwell foyer is the main floor master suite with 12-foot ceilings. The master bedroom includes a fireplace. There are his-and-her walk-in closets. The master bathroom has his-and-her sink vanities, a tub, a huge shower, and two water closets.
Looking to entertain? This castle plan has it all. The lower level boasts a large sitting area, a hearth room, and a secondary kitchen. There is also another master suite on this level with a private bath and walk-in closet. This level is designed so you can walk out of the castle to your own outdoor living space.
Walk up to the second floor — or take the elevator. The main manor house on this level has 10-foot ceilings and includes three more master suites each with its own full bathroom and a walk-in closet. From this level, exit from one end to the "north watch" and walk over to the office that is located above the north garage. From the other side of the manor, exit to the "south watch" and walk over to the in-law suite apartment which includes a living area, full bathroom, a bedroom, and a small kitchen.
